Passes

Passes are sold out, but individual tickets are available for purchase.  The 27th Palm Springs International ShortFest will be back with in-person screenings at the Camelot Theatres (Palm Springs Cultural Center) from June 22-28!

IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING PASSES. Good news!  Passholders will now have the opportunity to reserve a seat in advance before tickets go on sale to the public.  This functionality will replace the former queue system.  Passholders will be granted priority access to reserve a spot for a pre-defined # of screenings in advance of ticket sales.  Passholders who have reserved in advance will continue to have priority access to seating at the venue for each show.

The Film Society is also excited to announce an update to the ticketing system.  If you have purchased passes or tickets in the past, the process will look different, see below for further deails.

Please note, that due to the current reduction in capacities for indoor theaters, we will be selling fewer passes.

Please read access details of each pass before purchasing. Please contact the Box Office Mon-Fri 9am-5pm @ 760-778-8979 regarding questions or if you need further assistance.

HOW TO ATTEND SCREENINGS WITH A PASS

IMPORTANT! OUR PASS PROCESS HAS CHANGED.  Please read the information below to ensure you understand the changes you will encounter moving forward.

  1. Passholders will be required to reserve a spot for screenings they wish to attend in advance.  Passholders will enjoy reservation days before ticket sales.  We suggest reviewing the schedule and reserve your screenings during Pass Reservation Days to offer the best chance of attending the programs you wish to see.
  2. Your CHAIRMAN OR INSIDER PASS is good for up to 21 screenings (3 non-concurrent screenings/day), including Opening & Closing nights, & Best of Fest.
  3. Attending screenings:
    1. Lines will form outside the theater and we will begin seating approximately 40 minutes prior to showtime.  Please do not arrive early. You may wait in your car.
    2. Queue cards will no longer be given out in passholder lines, again you must pre-reserve a spot in order to attend a screening - for best selection, please reserve during pass reservation dates.
    3. All passes will be scanned upon entry, if you haven’t pre-reserved a spot, access will be denied and you will be asked to go to the box office to check on availability. There is no guarantee that a seat will be available at that time.  We highly recommend that you pre-reserve a spot before arriving at the theater for uninterrupted entry.
    4. You must be in your seat 10 minutes prior to showtime.  If you fail to show, your spot may be sold to those customers on stand-by.
    5. NO LATE SEATING.  If the program starts and you haven’t arrived, you will be denied entry (even if there are seats available).  Late seating is disruptive to the audience.

Ticketing system update

The Film Society is excited to announce an update to the ticketing system.  Due to limited capacities and the growing popularity of our festivals, this will allow us to serve all of our customers and supporters more efficiently while continuing our mission and vision.

This means that the process of purchasing passes, tickets & memberships will look a little different.  Please take note of the following:

  • If you have purchased items with us in the past, you will be prompted to create a new account on the system during your first purchase.  Want to get a headstart and be ready to purchase? Create an account now.
  • Any past purchase history will not be accessible in this new account. If you require access to past purchases, please contact our office at 760.322.2930 or email us at info@psfilmfest.org so we may assist you.
  • If you have any account credits, those will be automatically transferred to your new account.
  • Film Society Members - please refer to our email communication in regards to specific information regarding member accounts and benefits.

The Palm Springs Film Society is dedicated to providing the best experience to our community and are working diligently to create resources to assist with this change.  As we move closer to ShortFest, tutorials on navigating the system will be available.  If you are not a member of our e-club, we invite you to JOIN to receive the most up-to-date details available.
