In coastal Wales, a middle-aged family man is unnerved to find himself hopelessly drawn to a younger drifter in this finely drawn erotic drama from British novelist-turned-filmmaker Helen Walsh.

film synopsis

Middle-aged family man Jack (Barry Ward from Apple TV’s Bad Sisters) is a born-and-bred mussel farmer working the coastline of Northern Wales, but the modest business he shares with his brother is in danger of being crowded out by larger enterprises. He and his high school sweetheart wife know everyone in their small town, and provide the support so many in this rural area need. So, it’s a surprise when he finds himself hopelessly drawn to a younger drifter. Novelist-turned-filmmaker Helen Walsh combines astute writing, powerful performances, and evocative cinematography with narrative restraint to create an emotionally impactful erotic drama.
