director biography

Tessa has written and directed 6 short films, her latest Spinosaurus being the most successful. Spinosaurus has won multiple awards on the festival circuit and premiered at Palm Springs IFF. Tessa has also directed over 100 hours of television drama in New Zealand, UK and the US. Tessa has been nominated for a BAFTA for her work in children's drama, nominated in the British Soap Awards for Scene of the Year 2018 and has mentored new directors on the Directors UK mentor scheme supporting female directors in television. Tessa's most recent television directing credits include WAYNE, exec produced and written by the creators of Deadpool, which was released in January 2019. Wayne has had a garnered both critical and commercial success. Tessa directed 2 episodes of Youth and Consequences which has been nominated for an Emmy for BEST DIGITAL DRAMA SERIES.
