Nowhere else can a festival audience see so many of these films on the same slate. And for the fifth year running we’re proud to present a panel discussion with shortlisted directors, giving the Festival audience a unique understanding of these films and their makers.

A record 93 countries submitted to the 91st Academy Awards© Best International Feature Film category, formerly known as the Best Foreign Language Film category. In mid-December, the list will narrow to 10 shortlisted films, with the final five nominees being announced on January 13, the final day of PSIFF 2020. We're excited to share 51 of these submitted films with you this year, and to once again present a panel discussion with shortlisted directors.
